Red Arrows

Having the wrong camera with you can work wonders. I was as Chatsworth show and the Red Arrows were there but I only had my 35mm. Lying on my back with people walking around and over me made for some hit and miss shots, I managed about 8 good ones though. This one could perhaps do with a tighter crop from the right, thoughts?

Playing with my new camera. Not a nice day so colours were flat. With it being a red car you can get some punch playing with filters.

The winding road home.

Keep plugging away. New Camera on it's way. Watch this space and you could always blog a few too :) Chris

Not exactly a macro shot

With only a 50mm lens today I was a little restricted. Fill flash has done a reasonable job of cleaning up the image. Not perfect but looks ok at this size.

Willing subjects!

The summer has started at last and I am determined to blog several times a week for the foreseeable. I dragged some willing volenteers along with me today :). A tennis ball works wonders ...

“The best camera is the one you have with you”

Long story but been trying to re-kindle my enthusiasm for photography so been reading loads of blogs and watching loads of YouTube stuff including digitalrev tv. Came across 2 great names. First is Zack Arias who is just so passionate about photography it is unreal, more about him over the next few weeks me thinks. Check out one light stuff it's very good.

The other one is Chase Jarvis, he's done loads of boarding stuff so I have come across the name before. However picked up “The best camera is the one you have with you” for a couple of quid on Kindle and it’s worth doing a session. Basically iPhone only allowed. Makes you think about composition. The only thing you are allowed is the "Best Camera" to play with them too. Have a go go on!

Here are three of my attempts so far.

Just playing with a fab sky!

King of the cottage

Just watch my roof on the way down please!

Happy shooting.

Fudge with lensbaby Double Glass optic.

New toy. I bought a lensbaby kit and this is with double glass optic. I love it because it makes you think. It is actually easy to do a distorted image with it but also the out of focus is really nice. It's pretty good to go back to manual focus too but I miss the split screen. What you think is in focus is just not. I have to rely on the little green light telling me it is in Focus and then look at the screen and think ... it is not. Then look at the finished product and it is ... any way I hope you like it.
